The Awkward Light – remastered

The Awkward Light was originally launched with Southern Guild in 2011 – and only one was ever made (it was that complicated) – here is it’s design history:

We started the redevelopment process with Karakter Copenhagen in 2012 – where we decided that the light would be made completely black. One meeting in Copenhagen and a series of drawings back and forth, tweaks here and there… and we have the new Awkward Light in 2014.

Patience, we have learnt, is a virtue. Just not a fun one.

This is the first prototype, which Karakter launched at the 2014 Maison d’Objet in Paris.

It’s not yet available on a retail level – but we’ll keep you posted.
